Logitech is preparing to launch the Squeezebox Touch, a modification on the existing Squeezebox with a 4.3 inch color touch-screen. It connects via Wi-fi and also includes integrated stereo speakers. The Touch acts as a controller and integrates into existing systems for online music. The Squeezebox Touch includes support for Apple Lossless, AAC, AIFF, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, FLAC, WAV and MP3.
The Wi-fi connection allows use for B & G networks with WEP, WPA & WP2 encryption or consumers can plug in an Ethernet cord. An included USB port & SD memory slot allows viewing / listening of photo and music content via a memory card / stick. The Touch comes with digital optical & coaxial outputs as well as stereo RCA and a headphone jack. There are also ambient light & proximity sensors included in the front face. No pricing has been announced as of yet. |
