The Summit Wireless Solution is all about retrofitting.  Whether you’re trying to set up a wireless computer network, or a multi-room audio system, the biggest problem is always signal transmission.  Focus says that they’ve solved the problem.

It took more than two years to develop the new FS848 chip, but the work has paid off.  The Summit Wireless Solution is simple to set up and it offers, among other things, 7.1 channel lossless audio streaming. The prototype is being finalized now, and Focus is just about ready to start production of the device, which is capable of transmitting up to 150 feet through walls.

It’s also a low-voltage device, which Focus VP Tony Parker says is particularly nice.  “You don't need to be an electrician to wire it."
