CasaTunes Introduces New Music Servers

CasaTools is targeting larger homes, multi-home buildings and office spaces with their new CasaTunes XLe and CasaTunes XLe Music Server. Both of these multi-room audio systems use PCs as their control center and music-server source, and can create 9 sources/12 zones within the system, expandable up to 48 zones using expansion boxes available to purchase.

The first five sources are PC-based, and feature Windows Media or iTunes HDD-stored song compatibility, Internet radio, ShoutCast, and iPod/iPhone connectivity. The remaining four sources are external.

These devices can connect with home control mechanisms, such as paging, doorbell functionality and the user’s home theater. The CasaTunes XLe ships for $1,199 and the CasaTunes XLe Music Server ships for $2,199. CasaTools offers compatible devices, such as amplifiers and keypads to go with their XLe devices.
