Aperion’s Home Audio Link (HAL) system is different in that rather than wireless components, they simply provide wireless adaptors. The basic HAL setup comes with a single sender and a single receiver. You can attach the send unit to a computer via a USB connection, or use the headphone or RCA attachments to plug it in to an MP3 player or other audio device. Audio can be sent out through a headphone cable or RCA cable as well. With HAL, you’re able to send uncompressed audio up to a hundred feet on the 2.4GHz frequency band. While Aperion pitches this as a home theater system they also mention that the HAL system would be a great way to go wireless with a powered subwoofer. Aperion sells the HAL system for $149.
