R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck is on trial this week for making ass on an British Airways flight from Seattle to London. He now faces five charges including being drunk on an aircraft, disobeying the captain, threatening behavior and assault.
Buck reportedly imbibed 15 glasses of red wine during the April 21, 2001 flight. His antics included humping a beverage cart, spilling his cereal on the floor and being verbally abusive to the Captain and flight attendants. Before September 11th, Buck’s antics could have been written off as a shiny happy rock star being a bad boy.
