Michael Jackson, the aptly named "King of Pop", was taken to the UCLA Medical Center today and pronounced dead at approximately 3 p.m. PT. Los Angeles paramedics arrived at Jackson's Bel-Air home at 12:30 p.m. after Michael was found not breathing and in a coma by a family doctor. Paramedics discovered Jackson in full cardiac arrest and performed CPR as they traveled to the hospital.
Hundreds of people are gathering outside the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles to mourn his death. Jackson leaves behind three children, Prince Michael (Age 7), Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (Age 12) and Paris Michael Katherine (Age 11).
Jackson's 1982 album "Thriller" is the biggest selling album of all time at 26 million copies. He garnered a massive fan base and had sold out all of his upcoming 50 comeback concerts in London. His first show was scheduled for July 13th and London's O2 arena. Jackson had recently passed a 4.5 hour physical examination in March to get cleared for the London shows.
