Multiple
news sources today reported that Australian singer Kylie Minogue has
been diagnosed with breast cancer, forcing her to postpone her upcoming
Australian tour. The singer will undergo immediate treatment for the
illness.
According to the singer’s management, she was at home in Melbourne with her family when she received the news, and is disappointed that she has to delay her Showgirl tour. The Showgirl tour has already been through Europe, and Australian shows were set to start on Thursday. Current ticket holders, whose shows would have occurred over the next couple months, have been instructed to wait for the announcement of rescheduled concert dates. Australian fans have been stunned after the announcement, and the performer has received an overwheling response on her official website. Minogue turns 37 on May 28, and has been given excellent chances of recovery with chemotherapy or radiation. |
