|Dave Navarro to Launch New Website To Promote Upcoming Album and Book|

Jane's Addiction founding guitarist and former Red Hot Chili Peppers member Dave Navarro recently announced that he will launch his personal website, www.davenavarro.net at the end of May 2001.
The launch precedes the release of his debut Capitol Records solo album, Trust No One, in stores June 19th, and his ReganBooks publishing debut with Neil Strauss, Don't Try This at Home, out July 2nd.
A collaboration between Navarro and his fans, the website will include video clips and photos inspired by the album and book sent in by fans along with Navarro's home videos, personal content created on his home computer, and photographs that ended up not being published in the book.
During an "All Access Weekend," from 8PM EST on Friday, May 18th through Sunday, May 20th, Navarro will give fans anexclusive chance to hear the entire album, listen to Navarro's track-by-track commentary on each of the album's songs, and watch the world online premiere of the video for "Rexall," the album's first as well as the making of the video on http://davenavarro.net/allaccess.
The URL is password-protected to ensure that only fans have access. When the site launches at the end of the month, davenavarro.net will feature a special flash "player" that includes Navarro reading excerpts from the book, the album, the interview disc, special downloads, and more.
On May 21st, Capitol Records will also launch a Dave Navarro channel on http://upoc.com, a service that enables users to exchange text and voice messages with friends and receive up-to-the-minute information all from a cell phone or text pager. Starting May 23rd, Navarro will leave fans personal messages on their cell phones or two-way pagers every day for 10 days about a different song on the album and include a preview of that song.
