Allegations have recently surfaced that former Jodeci member Dalvin DeGrate pulled a "Milli Vanilli" by not providing the vocals on some of the tracks for his forthcoming "Met.A.Mor.Phic" album due out April 18. In a statement released by his record company Maverick Recording Company, Dalvin denies the rumor that his close friend Stevie J was the one singing on the the albums first signle "Why Can't We" as well as several other tracks.

"I have no idea how someone could get this one so wrong," laughed DeGrate about the rumor. "Stevie played on a bunch of the album's tracks, he produced or co-produced four tracks, and he sang back-up on 'Why Can't We,' "More Than Friends," and "Scandalous," but that was it. And I made sure hewas credited and paid!"
