Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes will launch a major concert tour this summer kicking off June 24 in Chicago at the New World Music Theater. Last summer Page and the Black Crowes teamed up for a sold-out six date tour and have since released the Internet-only album, JIMMY PAGE AND THE BLACK CROWES LIVE AT THE GREEK available exclusively at http://www.Musicmaker.com.
This should be an excellent opportunity for fans of both Led Zeppelin and the Black Crowes to enjoy a healthy dose of the best material from both groups. The Crowes are self professed students of Led Zeppelin and in a recent interview, Jimmy Page told Rolling Stone magazine that he was amazed at how well the Crowes knew Led Zeppelin’s songs. Nineteen of the tour’s twenty-two currently scheduled stops will correspond with The Who’s tour, with Page and the Black Crowes performing either the night before or after the legendary British rock group. Tickets for each show will be sold separately, but as a special offer for fans that want to see both shows, they can purchase lawn tickets for both nights and get $7.50 off the normal ticket price for each night (a savings of $15.00). Tickets for the first leg of the tour go on sale April 29. Additional dates for the third leg are expected to be released soon. AudioRevolution.com will keep you posted. Leg 1:
Leg 2:
Leg 3 (with more dates TBA):
* Tour date does not correspond with The Who’s tour. The Who’s tour dates are avaiable at http://thewholive.com. |
