The
48th Annual Grammy Awards was held last night at the Staples Center in
Los Angeles. It was a star-studded evening and included twenty six
performances by some of music’s biggest names. The Record of the Year
award went to punk-pop favorites Green Day for “Boulevard of Broken
Dreams”. U2 won the album of the year for “How to Dismantle an Atomic
Bomb” and also the Song of the Year for “Sometimes You Can’t Make It on
your Own” from the same album. The Best New Artist of the Year went to
John Legend for “So High”. See below for a list of the major category
