The 42nd annual Grammy nominations were recently announced and on February 21st Grammy Awards will be presented to the best performers, producers and songwriters in 100 different categories. Nominees include industry veterans such as Madonna, Joni Mitchell, Don Henley and Sting as well as newcomers Christina Aguilera, Macy Gray, The Corrs and Sisqo. Only recordings released during the period between October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 were eligible for nomination.
The show will be held at the Staples Center is Los Angeles, CA and will be telecast to an international audience of over 1.5 billion people in 170 countries by CBS Television.
