"There is a possibility of interference with other devices, but so far we have not seen any problems with our products," says project manager Arturo Jordan. "I can tell you that our Sync Transmitter used in the 3D sets sends a very wide ranging and robust signal," he adds, "in fact I've seen it interfere with "other" 3D sets, while side by side."
One of the big concerns from custom installers is the placement of the IR transmitter. If you've got a custom frame around your 3D television, it could easily block the transmitter, rendering the 3D functionality useless. Jordan says that in these cases, the HX909 models are the way to go, since they've got external transmitters.
Jordan also commented on 3D projectors, which Sony has not yet introduced. "We don't have any announcements about 3D projectors at the moment," he said, "but you can rest assured that will change shortly."
