The 8-Series introduces plenty of new technology and features, chief among them being Quad Pixel Plus 2 which brings yellow into the color spectrum.  The 8-Series also boasts edge-it LED backlighting and a 240Hz LCD Panel.  Well, that's all good enough for the 60" and 70" models, but if you step up to the massive 80" set you'll get a 480Hz refresh rate and full array LED backlighting.  The 8-Series is shipping now and will be available in late March/early April.
