The name Runco is most commonly associated with projectors, but that doesn't mean the company doesn't make TVs too. The new Vistage series of flat panel sets – Runco doesn't specify but we're guessing they're plasmas – are impressive, but just a little bit odd too.
The V-50HD, 58HD and 63HD are 3D ready, feature glass fronts to create a more uniform finish and utilize an Emissive Cell Structure for greater brightness and better viewing angles. They measure in at 1.7 inches and come with a halo-shaped table stand that conceals cables and make the whole thing incredibly classy. But let's say you hate that classy look. In that case, you can get a custom rear panel with wood, fabric, or leather style finishes. You can take it a step further still and get the logo of your favorite NCAA team, or a hand-painted mural too. It's a strange option that looks tacked on, but it's there if people want it. Runco's Vistage displays will be available in December. Prices start at $5,995. |
