Admittedly, there's an extremely limited market for a high end television that's smaller than most computer monitors, but it's still a shame to see a Europe only release for LG's new 15EL9500. It's a slick little set, even if it's got limited uses.
The 15EL9500 is a 15.1 inch AMOLED television with a 1366x768 resolution. It's not 1080p, but on a screen that small, 720p should do just fine. LG boasts that the new set can produce perfect black levels, 1.5 times greater perceived luminance than standard televisions and a viewing angle that can't be beat. LG's tiny set packs in a few audio features like Clear Voice II and SRS Trusurround XT that are designed to boost audio quality as well as TruMotion 100Hz – the PAL version of TruMotion 120Hz – which smoothes out video performance. The 15EL9500 is currently available on Amazon UK for 1,502 British pounds, which comes out to just above $2,300. |
