LG says to expect it to fall somewhere in the area of $10,000 when its available later on this year. You'll notice a few new things since CES too, including a carbon fiber backing that allowed LG to trim another millimeter off of the already svelte frame.
LG has also opened a new OLED plant, but it's not creating the panels you might expect. The new plant is only making white panels, but it's making them for 55" TVs. A few ideas about what they're planning have been kicked around and it seems most likely that LG is going to be using the color filter tech they recently acquired from Kodak to create a different type of OLED. We'll know more as the plant goes into production later this year.
