The company has announced that it will be launching a 65 inch 3D TV that uses the same passive glasses seen in movie theaters.  It seems Vizio isn't the only company jumping on this much demanded 3D technology.

The most obvious advantage of course, is the cost of glasses and flexibility of choice.  If you're happy with the cheap glasses provided by theaters you can go with them.  If you're looking for something a little more stylish and comfortable you can pick up one of the designer options.

LG says that the second advantage is in picture quality.  The company boasts that their TV and glasses combine for a flicker free picture, and is certified as such by TUV and Intertek.

There's no word on pricing or a release date yet, but LG says it will be rolled out " soon after its introduction at CES."
