LG isn't messing around with the new LW9800 series of televisions, nor are they humble. Company president Havis Kwon calls the 9800 the crown jewel of TVs and claims that LG has set a new benchmark in connectivity and picture quality. The LW9800 uses passive 3D technology that ensures that the glasses are lightweight and inexpensive. It also boasts a proprietary 2D to 3D conversion technology so if you run out of 3D content to watch you can switch regularly 2D content over to the third dimension.
LG's new set offers access to 3D video on demand through LG apps so you can download some new content to enjoy. You can even use Smart Share to move content from your TV to a mobile phone, tablet or other device. The new top of the line set from LG utilizes Nano Full LED lighting. This relatively new tech ensures that light is spread more evenly across the screen and avoid particularly bright or dark spots. LG will be showing off the LW9800 to the public for the first time at IFA Berlin in September.
