LCD 120Hz/240Hz Gaining in Popularity
DisplaySearch has released a report on projected LCD shipments in the next year, and the findings indicate that increased frame rates are becoming more popular with consumers.  TVs with 100Hz/120Hz will ship 22.5 million units, and those with 200Hz/240Hz will ship 4.8 million units in 2009.

Penetration of these higher frame displays is growing as well.  120Hz LCD TVs will reach a 14.3 penetration rate and 240Hz will reach 4.2.  Altogether, these high frame rate TVs will account for just under 20% of all LCD TVs shipped in 2009.
