This technology uses several modes that have different applications and benefits.  There is a “Relay Mode” which switches lamps only when the initial lamp is no longer useable, and an “Alternating Mode” which incorporates a specific pattern of lamp use. Consumers can preprogram the projector to switch between lamps at specific intervals using its Lamp Selection technology.

The Lamp Selection technology means that the PLC-XTC50L has about 6,000 hours of use without a single lamp replacement required.  This is double that of most other projectors.  The advanced optical engine technology incorporated into this projector equalizes high quality light projection.  It also uses optical axis adjustment technology that uses a highly precise control motor to allow the mirror to automatically select the lamp.

The projector’s resolution is 1,024x768, its brightness clocks in at 5,000 ANSI lumens, and it boasts a 1,100:1 contrast ratio.
