The PLC-XTC50L projector has begun shipping, and Sanyo has geared this device towards businesses and institutions that require continual use – it uses a dual-lamp technology to ensure 24/7 use without constant lamp replacement. The new 3LCD retails for a suggested price of $7,495.
This technology uses several modes that have different applications and benefits. There is a “Relay Mode” which switches lamps only when the initial lamp is no longer useable, and an “Alternating Mode” which incorporates a specific pattern of lamp use. Consumers can preprogram the projector to switch between lamps at specific intervals using its Lamp Selection technology. The projector’s resolution is 1,024x768, its brightness clocks in at 5,000 ANSI lumens, and it boasts a 1,100:1 contrast ratio. |
