Westinghouse – it's a name we don't talk about much when the topic is high-end home theater gear, but the newest prototype from the company may change that.
At the Consumer Electronics show next month, Westinghouse will be debuting a prototype personal media viewer – you know, those glasses like devices you can put on to watch movies. What's remarkable about Westinghouse's solution is that it brings 3D into the mix, allowing you to watch 3D content in complete privacy. The personal 3D viewer is also the first to incorporate a new optic developed for the military. The new advancement will provide the largest field of view ever produced in one of these devices. There's no word yet on pricing and availability, nor resolution, but we'll find out more in January at CES. |
