Parasound Gear Used For The Sound Design of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones
Parasound Products, Inc. announced that it has been honored by Lucasfilm for the contributions of its products to sound design and editing of "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones." The movie specifically lists Parasound in the credit lines.
With the explosive growth of consumer home theater systems, Lucasfilm and its Skywalker Sound facilities use premium THX Home Theater products in the production process to ensure that sound tracks play as well in homes as in theaters. The film's producer, Rick McCallum said, "Parasound THX Home Theater products were used during the sound design and editing phases of Star Wars Episodes One and Two. The transparency and accuracy of the sound enabled us to make critical sound decisions at every stage in the post production process.""This is a great honor for our company," said Parasound's president, Richard Schram. "Out of hundreds of audio companies and dozens of THX licensees, Lucasfilm chose Parasound. When the world's best movie sound professionals buy and use our products, it is an affirmation for those dealers and consumers who have made a similar decision to choose Parasound products."
