NXT, maker of SurfaceSound flat panel speaker technology, has announced a partnership with DaimlerChrysler to incorporate their speakers into the Mercedes Benz line of automobiles. DaimlerChrysler is the world’s leading manufacturer of passenger cars. If this proves successful, SurfaceSound speakers may find their way into DaimlerChrysler’s other automobile lines.
David Pearson, NXT's Chief Executive, stated "NXT could not have found a more prestigious and technically innovative partner to introduce the inherent advantages of our SurfaceSound speaker technology to the automotive market."
NXT, the UK Technology & Licensing Company, now has over 200 Licensees for its patented SurfaceSound flat panel loudspeaker technology. Licensees include Acer Computers, Fujitsu, NEC, Philips, Tannoy, Matsushita Communications, LG Electronics, and Siemens. The Company, which is fully listed on the London Stock Exchange (symbol NTX), has Technology Centres in Cambridge and Malvern and operations in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, California, Detroit and Hamburg.
