The problem is that they're not exactly an easy sell in the mall. In a movie theater though, they seem like they could do very well.
To make it all happen, Marchon3D is rolling out vending machines full of 3D glasses for both kids and adults. "This is the first time we'll be offering our EX3D glasses for sale in theaters and the first time we've ever built a self-service installation like this," says Marchon 3D president David Johnson.
The first machine will go up this summer at an UltraStar theater in San Diego, California. Prices will range from $25 to $80 and both traditional and clip-on 3D glasses solutions will be offered. After the initial test, more machines will be rolling out.
