In an interview over at Home Media Magazine Clark talks about the Weinsteins and their recent purchase of 25% of Starz as well as what that means for the future of the network. Even more interesting though, is his outlook on the DVD and Blu-ray market.
" Blu-ray sales continue to rise, and we believe that 2011 will be no different," says Clark. " The format is clearly well down the path of mass adoption." As confident as he is on Blu-ray though, he doesn't seem to see 3D as a guaranteed hit.
" We’ll certainly utilize the format where it makes sense," says Clark. "Obviously, we will not be the first to market on BD 3D, but we will evaluate on a title-by-title basis and, where it makes sense, will release in this format."
