Adobe is going to move out of the internet space and onto our TVs. They have announced that their immensely popular and versatile Flash software, which is used for roughly 80 percent of all internet videos, will move to TVs and Blu-Ray players in the coming year or so.
The company expects that compatible players and TVs will be available by 2010. The BBC has reported that Adobe penned a deal with chip developers such as Intel, Broadcom and NXP to produce chips for TVs and set top boxes that include Flash technology. The new devices with Flash chips would be able to play Flash videos and games on TVs that are connected to the inernet. |
