Energy
has announced the new EAS Architectural series of in-wall and
in-ceiling loudspeakers. The EAS series has been designed with the
custom installer and end user in mind, featuring easy to use
connections and bezel design, making these speakers incredibly simple
for one person to install. A key example of the ease of installation is
the EAS-6W in-wall speaker, offering a detachable bezel, which allows
the installer of any skill level the option of "roughing-in" the
speaker before completing his installation. As a result, any painting
to the baffle and grill can be done on sight, for that completely
customized look, without fear of damaging the speaker. This technology
has been carried over from the incredibly successful Veritas Custom
series. The comprehensive line includes one in-wall product, two
in-ceiling 2-way speakers and one in-ceiling stereo speaker.
The EAS Series of architectural speakers all feature Energy's exclusive aluminum dome tweeter and composite aluminum woofers, making the entire series voice matched to all current and future Energy speakers. The tweeter used in the EAS Series is designed to pivot, allowing you to direct the sound as desired. As well the EAS-6W offers a +3dB or 0dB tweeter switch, to adjust for room conditions. Designed to work in tandem with all of Energy's products, these speakers are the perfect solution for customers who want sound distributed throughout their home, as well as components of a home theater system. The EAS Series consists of: EAS-6W - 2-Way wall-mount, 6-1/2" mica filled polypropylene woofer, 1" aluminum dome swivel tweeter, detachable bezel, 100 Watts RMS power handling, 55Hz - 20Khz frequency response, 8 ohm impedance. EAS-6C - 2-Way ceiling mount speaker, 6-1/2" mica filled polypropylene woofer, 1" aluminum dome swivel tweeter, 100 Watts RMS power handling, 55Hz - 20Khz frequency response, 8 ohm impedance. Suggested retail price $250/pair. EAS-6Cst - 2-Way Stereo unit, 6-1/2" mica filled polypropylene woofer, dual 3/4" aluminum dome swivel tweeters, 100 Watts RMS power handling, 55Hz - 20Khz frequency response, 8 ohm impedance. Suggested retail price $175/each. EAS-8C - 2-Way ceiling mount speaker, 8" mica filled polypropylene woofer, 1" aluminum dome swivel tweeter, 125 Watts RMS power handling, 45Hz - 20Khz frequency response, 8 ohm impedance.
