The latest update from the official Popbox blog reveals that the device has been pushed back again, this time due to software issues. It may be a bit telling that software is the same issue that the Boxee team has been dealing with. Amazon's got the boxes, but they won't be shipping them until the 23rd.
Netflix is noticeably missing from the list of content partners, which also has a lot of people miffed. It sounds like Netflix is on the way though. "We want to make it clear that the PopBox that ships is, TODAY, capable of supporting all foreseeable App partners in the future WITHOUT requiring a hardware upgrade," says the Popbox blog.
It also mentions an additional oddity. Though the Popbox has both HDMI and component outputs, the device will only work with high definition televisions.
