Vudu is an alternative to Netflix for those that are looking for quality over quantity.  You pay by the rental instead of monthly, but you get a 1080p resolution at 24 frames per second and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound.

The folks at Vudu are so sure you'll notice a difference that they're giving Boxee users a free rental in the form of a $5.99 credit on your account. 

In addition to Vudu, the firmware update added a few tweaks to searching, web browsing and even organizing media.
