AVI/SPL installed the system, centering around Crestron’s Adagio Media System, winner of several distinctions from the Consumer Electronics Association as well as 2008’s Electronic House Expo. A CEN-IDOCV interface provides connectivity with iPods and iPhones, which can be easily controlled with the TPS-6X touchpanel. An unnamed 52” plasma was donated as well as a Blu-ray player. Other companies got in on the act of charity as well. Marshall Furniture created a custom cabinet, Triad provided speakers and stands, Velodyne supplied a subwoofer, and ICD took care of all the programming.
The system was very well received by soldiers including Gunnery Sgt. Charles Strong who decided to watch football on base rather than return home for the game, explaning "The TV here is much better and it was more fun to hang out with some of the other guys.”
