Even if the Black Diamond III was an absolutely terrible turntable with no positive audio qualities whatsoever, it would be worth owning for the look. This thing is gorgeous. It's like something you'd see on display in a home, but in that room where you're not allowed to wear shoes or touch anything. Of course, there's more to the newest iteration of the Black Diamond than just the look. Walker found a way to lower the amount of pressure exerted which not only keeps components lasting longer but improved the audio quality.
"We actually had no intention of upgrading or changing the Proscenium Black Diamond II turntable," says Walker president and founder Lloyd Walker. "That unit is already considered one of the best in the world and we thought we had achieved the pinnacle of analog playback possibilities. We were wrong." The Black Diamond III comes in at a price of $89,995.
