Eclipse by Fujitsu Ten has just announced the release of the Eclipse 5.1 channel sound/visual entertainment system for automotive environment. By combining its cutting-edge digital signal processing (DSP) technology with the latest advances in psychoacoustics it is now possible to turn a vehicle into a home theater on wheels.
The Eclipse DVD 5.1 channel car audio system combines front and rear speakers with a front-center and rear subwoofer, creating a level of in-car audio response and sound environment that Fujitsu claims to be equal to a 20-speaker system.
The Eclipse DVD Source Unit 55090, when combined with Digital Decoder 39011, provides clear channel separation and imaging that is superior to that of any other Car DVD system available today.
The Eclipse DVD can also operate hands-free by connecting it to the Eclipse Commander, a voice-controlled vehicle integration system that offers hands-free operation for all major functions, including the GPS navigation system.
MSRP for the DVD Source Unit (model 55090) is $1,599.99
MSRP for the DTSTM and Dolby DigitalTM Decoder (model 39011) is $799.
