We've seen quite a few different price ranges for UHDTVs but it seems like the $20 - $30 thousand range is a pretty safe bet for a 4K set. Samsung's comes in at a bit higher than that when converted from Korean Won, but it's being marketed as a luxury set, as evidenced by the stand that's in the spirit of something Bang & Olufsen would put together. The set features 2.2 channel surround built right in, a quad-core processor and plenty of Smart TV features. It also comes equipped with a unique frame that you'll either love or hate. Publicity shots give it quite a bit of appeal. We wouldn't be surprised to see a price drop when the set comes to the US, but don't expect it to go down too much below its current $38,000 price tag. |
