Lisa ``Left Eye'' Lopes, the thirty year old singer from the Grammy-winning trio TLC was killed in a car crash in Honduras on April 24, 2002. Arista records President, L.A. Reid, offered his condolences to the family, friends and fans of the young star who would have turned thirty one in May.
"No words can possibly express the sorrow and sadness I feel for this most devastating loss… Lisa was not only a gifted and talented musical inspiration, but more importantly, she was like a daughter to me. My thoughts and prayers are with Lisa's family and friends. Her legacy will be remembered forever." said Reid in a statement to the press.
The Atlanta-based R&B group TLC, which also includes Tionne "T-Boz'' Watkins and Rozonda ``Chilli'' Thomas, is one of the largest selling female groups of all time with hit singles including "Waterfall,'' "No Scrubs" and "Unpretty."
