Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I
It's the beginning of the end for Harry, Hermione, Ron and the whole Hogwarts crew. 'Deathly Hallows' is where the series wraps up and we finally get closure on the whole story. Part one hits theaters on the 16th, while we'll have to wait until July for the conclusion.
The 'Harry Potter' series is one of those strange movie franchises that has only gotten better as it's gone along. The first film was good, the second was better and things improved exponentially after that, along with taking a much darker and more serious tone.
The series has also become a time to parade out some of our best and brightest stars. In addition to the three stars of the film you get Alan Rickman, John Hurt, Michael Gambon, Robbie Coltrane, Bill Nighy, Ralph Fiennes and a host of others.
The Next Three Days
Though it stars Russell Crowe and Liam Neeson, 'The Next Three Days' just doesn't seem to work. "It's a competent thriller," according to Roger Ebert, "but maybe could have been more." If for some reason you just don't want to see 'Harry Potter,' this is your other option. It's not a bad option per se, but it's not exactly a good one either.
