There are two movies that are getting wide releases this week, but unless you're really into DC comics from the 70s, there's only one to see. It's the third in a series of family friendly flicks and it's currently sitting on Rotten Tomatoes without a single negative review. It's 'Toy Story 3' if you hadn't guessed.
Toy Story 3 It's been often said that Pixar is the new Disney, and that's a fair statement. But Pixar does one thing that Disney never could – sequelize well. 'Toy Story' was fantastic, and as comedian Dimitri Martin points out through his graffiti "Toy Story 2 was okay." Critics may debate where the third one falls in the hierarchy. Some call it the best of the series while others don't think it lives up, but everyone can agree that 'Toy Story 3' is a must-see film. Read our full review here: Link. Jonah Hex It's been a long time since western comic books, or westerns at all for that matter, have been popular. Sadly, 'Jonah Hex' doesn't look like it will be revitalizing the love for either. It's got no love from the critics and no love from the fans. It's got the fading star that is Megan Fox and the excellent Josh Brolin, who should soon be moving on to bigger and better things. Also coming out this week 8: The Mormon Proposition (limited) Cyrus (limited) I Am Love (limited) Killer Inside Me (limited) Let it Rain (limited) Lovers of Hate (limited) Nature of Existence (limited) Raavan (limited) Stonewall Uprising (limited) Wah Do Dem (limited) |
