If you're anything like me, you've got plenty of friends and family who just don't get audio. They've got big beautiful televisions, but are more than content to listen to them through the built-in 10 watt speakers. Watching a movie at their place can be a truly unsatisfying experience.
But there's a bit of refreshing news. According to the latest survey from MarketSource 35 percent of households interviewed said that they were either likely or definitely planning to purchase home audio gear by the end of the year. The majority of those consumers, 53 percent, said that improving music playback was one of their key concerns. 39 percent said that they'd be adding surround sound to their video experience. |
