The Altura MC series, made up of the Iroise 3 and Egea 3, got a new addition today with the introduction of the Ambrose 3. This slick L/C/R loudspeaker is available now exclusively from St. John Group.
The Ambrose 3 is a compact speaker that was built with versatility in mind. Whether you want it on a stand, mounted on the wall or on the bookshelf, the Ambrose will fit nicely. Mounted vertically, the new loudspeaker stands 31.5” high and measures 7.5” wide and 8.3” deep. Cabasse’s new speaker sports a pair of 7” woofers, derived from those of those designed for the Bahia series. They utilize Duocell cones that are built light but rigid in order to get the most out of long throw systems. The speakers also utilize a coaxial midrange tweeter that’s been improved significantly since its introduction in the TC23. Ambrose 3 speakers have a frequency response from 75Hz all the way up to 24Khz and handle a peak 770 watts. They’re available now from St. John Group at $3,050 a piece.
