With a suggested retail price of $20,000/pr, the Snell Phantom is a high-end audio device that comes with all the bells and whistles. It uses an innovative three-way design within its detailed, hand-crafted construction to provide the audio experience you’ve come to expect from a maker with over 30 years in the business.
The Phantom uses the world’s finest transducers along with crossover expertise to produce detailed, clear and uncolored audio reproduction. It is designed using Snell’s signature D’Appolito Array to produce a coordinated wave-front with smooth and consistent axial dispersion – resulting in a soundfield that has definition, clarity, dynamic potential and transient accuracy.
The cabinet is designed and created with such painstaking labor on the part of the sound engineers that it is no wonder the result is both beautiful and equipped with nearly holographic sound. The Phantom replicates audio so exactly that not only will it surround you, but each sound will exist relative to the other sounds to create the size and depth of a live experience. This loudspeaker is projected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2009.
