RBH Sound Inc, has just announced a new addition to their Signature Series loudspeaker line, the compact 12-SE subwoofer. This compact subwoofer combines a discreet 300-watt amplifier with a 12-inch proprietary metal cone woofer. Priced at $999 in black oak woodgrain or $1,199 for one of 30 custom finishes, the 12-SE’s cabinet is built using all MDF construction and internal bracing. This keeps unwanted cabinet resonance to a minimum and allows the aluminum driver to be driven to extreme levels without giving way to distortion.
For large home theater applications, RBH has created the new 6100SE professional series line of in-wall loudspeakers. This new line is capable of producing extremely high sound pressure levels in without an obtrusive speaker cabinet. Unlike most in-wall loudspeakers that use the wall as a cabinet, RBH’s new 6100SE’s drivers are built into their own enclosure that is specifically designed to fit into the wall.
Priced at $3,500 per pair, the 6100SE features three 1-inch European designed Ferrofluid soft-dome tweeters and four 6 1/2-inch proprietary metal-cone woofers. The wide dispersion pattern of the 6100SE allows it to be installed both horizontally and vertically. Since the 6100SE uses the same tweeters and aluminum drivers found in the Signature Series line of speakers, they be combined to create a timbre matched integrated home theater speaker system.
