MartinLogan’s has just announced the release of their new Aeon reference loudspeaker system. With a footprint of less than one square foot, the Aeon is priced at $2,995 and features a state-of-the-art new woofer, next generation enclosure materials and MartinLogan’s ESL transducer. MartinLogan claims that at the crossover point, the Aeon’s woofer distortion level is so low it rivals that of the electrostatic panel.
"With its accurate soundstage, explosive dynamics and openness, the Aeon excels as a stereo main, home theater front or effects channel in a myriad of room sizes and configurations," said Gayle Sanders, President of MartinLogan. "At $2,995 this is truly the most accurate, versatile and refined transducer in its class today."
MartinLogan's hybrid speakers are engineered to control dispersion and maintain outstanding dynamic range while minimizing room interaction. The Aeon expands its high frequency response with advanced crossover topology, high-grade components and point-to-point wiring. "We are constantly designing for the ultimate signal path," said Joe Vojtko, MartinLogan's lead engineer. " Aeon's custom designed components, along with its electrostatic and dynamic drivers, all combine to insure the highest levels ever of transparency, linearity and seamless integration."
