The RS 326 is the new flagship for the Boston Acoustics Reflection Series. It's a 3-way speaker that incorporates a 1 inch tweeter, a 3.5 inch midrange driver and a pair of 6.5 inch woofers, but it's the "Smart Features" that the folks at Boston Acoustics are really excited about.
The first of these features is the inclusion of super linear plane (SLP) baffles that are designed to significantly reduce acoustic diffraction. It also utilizes magnetic attachment, which creates a seamless alignment with the baffle plane, reducing sonic barriers. Extra Wide Bandwidth (EWB) tweeter uses a central diaphragm termination and rear chamber venting to keep tweeter sound linear through the entire frequency response. New fiber ceramic copolymer (FCCM) mid and woofer cones have been introduced as well, to help produce a smooth response at all frequencies. You'll be able to pick up the RS 326 later this month at a price of $999 each. |
