Axiom's latest speakers are designed to correct for the most common problems you'll face with dipole/bipole speakers – specificity. Some sounds, like that of soloists, shouldn't be going everywhere in the room and should be pinpointed. Axiom extensively customized the frequency response of the rear speakers to ensure that you'll get a seamless soundstage and minimal roll-off.
You'll also find that, unlike most speakers, these have left and right designations – that's because Axiom uses a rear baffle that's angled slightly outward to one direction or the other. The M100 packs four 1" tweeters, four 5.25" mids and three 6.5" subwoofers for 11 drivers in all. You'll be able to pick up the M100 on June 15th, when it will be available at $3,760 a pair.
