FINDING FORRESTER (Columbia/TriStar Home Video), released theatrically last year, is director Gus Van Sant’s drama about a reclusive author (Sean Connery) who befriends a troubled but talented youth (Robert Brown). Aspect ratio is widescreen; sound format is Dolby Digital. MPAA rating is PG-13.


GHOST (Paramount Home Entertainment) is the 1990 hit fantasy comedy/drama about a couple (Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore) separated by death and bound by love. Whoopi Goldberg won an Oscar for her supporting turn as a fake medium who gets a rude awakening when the Swayze character’s spirit is determined to communicate with the living world and Bruce Joel Rubin also won an Oscar for his screenplay. Aspect ratio is widescreen, enhanced for 16x9 TVs; sound formats are English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and French Dolby Surround, with English subtitles. Extras include an audio commentary by director Jerry Zucker and screenwriter Rubin, a retrospective featurette on the making of the film (including on-set footage) and the theatrical trailer. MPAA rating is PG-13.

JUST LOOKING (Columbia/TriStar Home Video), released theatrically last year, is a coming-of-age comedy/drama about a 14-year-old boy (Ryan Merriman) sent to live with his aunt and uncle for the summer in 1955 Queens, N.Y. Peter Onorati, Patti Lupone and Gretchel Mol also star. Jason Alexander directed from Marshall Karp’s reportedly semi-autobiographical script. Aspect ratios are widescreen anamorphic and 1.33:1 full-screen; sound format is English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, with English subtitles. Extras include an audio commentary from director Alexander, deleted and extended scenes, a trailer and talent files. MPAA rating is R (for sexuality and language).

LITTLE NICKY (New Line Home Video), released theatrically last year, stars Adam Sandler as the nice if none-too-bright youngest son of Satan (Harvey Keitel), who travels from Hell to New York to save the world from his two evil older brothers. Patricia Arquette, Rhys Ifans, Tiny Lister, Rodney Dangerfield and Reese Witherspoon also star under Steve Brill’s direction. Aspect ratio is widescreen; sound formats are English 5.1 Surround and 2.0 Stereo Surround. Extras include a feature-length commentary with Sandler, director Brill and co-writer Tim Herlihy, a cameo commentary hosted by Michael McKean, featuring a number of the film’s name cameo performers, the "Adam Sandler Goes to Hell" making-of featurette, the "Satan’s Top 40" featurette containing interviews with Ozzy Osbourne, Gene Simmons and Ronnie James Dio, 20 minutes of deleted scenes, a music video, theatrical trailer, cast and crew filmographies and DVD-ROM features. MPAA-rating is PG-13 (crude sexual humor, some drug content, language and themes).

LOVE STORY (Paramount Home Entertainment), the 1970 hit romance based on Eric Segal’s best-selling novel, stars Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw in the tale that brought the phrase "Love means never having to say you’re sorry" to pop culture. Look for a young Tommy Lee Jones as O’Neal’s college roommate. Arther Hiller directs. Aspect ratio is widescreen, enhanced for 16x9 TVs; sound formats are English and French Dolby Digital Mono, with English subtitles. Extras include an audio commentary track by director Hiller, the featurette "Love Story: A Classic Remembered" and the theatrical trailer. MPAA rating is PG (language and a love scene).

ONE DAY IN SEPTEMBER (Columbia/TriStar Home Video) is director Kevin Macdonald’s acclaimed 1999 documentary about the murder of Israeli athletes by terrorists at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Aspect ratio is widescreen, in black-and-white; sound formats are English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround and German Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, with English subtitles. Extras include production notes, a trailer and talent files. MPAA rating is R.

PSYCHO BEACH PARTY (Wolfe Video), released theatrically last year, is director Robert Lee King’s film adaptation of Charles Busch’s hit stage send-up of beach party flicks and ‘50s psychodramas. Lauren Ambrose, Thomas Gibson, Nicholas Brendon, Matt Keeslar and writer Busch star. No technical information is available. MPAA rating is R.

STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES VOL. 21 (Paramount Home Entertainment) contains two comedic episodes of the seminal science-fiction TV series from its 1967 season, "I, Mudd" and "The Trouble With Tribbles." Aspect ratio is 1.33:1 full-screen (digitally enhanced and remastered); sound format is English Dolby Digital, remixed for 5.1 Surround, with English subtitles. Extras include original broadcast trailers.

STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES VOL. 22 (Paramount Home Entertainment) contains two dramatic episodes of the TV series, "Bread and Circuses," about an alien civilization in the ancient Roman mode, and "Journey to Babel," in which Spock’s father Sarek (Mark Leonard) is introduced. Aspect ratio is 1.33:1 full-screen (digitally enhanced and remastered); sound format is English Dolby Digital, remixed for 5.1 Surround, with English subtitles. Extras include original broadcast trailers.
