In a recent survey, we asked AudioRevolution.com readers to list their ten favorite albums and DVDs of all time. In the album category, some classic rock favorites such as Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours and The Eagles Hell Freezes Over made the list, but the AudioRevolution.com list does not read like the typical VH1 top 20 countdown. Newcomers like Linkin Park, Alicia Keys and Pink are popular with Gen X and Y and were well represented in our survey.

The recent Grammy awards showed their influence with the soundtrack from O’ Brother Where Art Thou? nearly edging out U2’s All That You Can’t Leave Behind for the honor of the favorite album of AudioRevolution.com readers.

It was no surprise that Pink Floyd made the list with both Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, two favorites of high-end audio enthusiasts around the globe.

In the world of DVD, the Matrix was far and away the favorite disc among our readers followed by recent sales record setter Shrek. Steven Speilberg was the top director with Saving Private Ryan, A.I. – Artificial Intelligence and The Jurassic Park series favorites with our readers.
