Samsung’s SP-A900 front projector is set to surpass its high-end predecessor, the SP-A800, in terms of video quality. It features extensive input from Joe Kane, the creator of Digital Video Essentials who is known for his attention to detail and relentless pursuit of digital picture quality.
One of the most obvious improvements that the A900 will make over its predecessor will be the incorporation of the DarkChip 4, the latest DLP from Texas Instruments. This chip is focused on improving the deepness of blacks, and produces a contrast ratio of 12,000:1. The A900 will be available from specialty retailers later in the month for a suggested price of $12,999.
