Four new Panasonic projectors were on display at this year’s ISE. As part of the D6000 Series, they all have a similar basic feature set: the use of DLP technology, a design using dual lamps, a contrast ratio of 2000:1, an auto cleaning filter and consumption of less than 0.5 watts of power when put in standby mode.
The PT-DZ6710, the flagship projector on display, features a 1920 by 1200 resolution (WUXGA), 16:10 aspect ratio and 6000 ANSI lumens. It is capable of HD-SDI video input and the ability to project onto curved or non-planar surfaces. The PT-DZ6700 has the same resolution and ANSI lumens as the flagship model, along with LAN capabilities and a connector set including s-video, RGB, DVI-D and 5BNC. Next comes the PT-DW6300S, which also offers 6000 ANSI lumens like the previous two models, but features a WXGA, or 1280 by 800 resolution. It is capable of a vertical and horizontal lens shift movement, and vertical keystone adjustments for more versatility in placement around the room. The last projector on display was the PT-D6000S. This model offers more brightness than the others, coming in at 6500 ANSI lumens, an XGA resolution (1024 by 768) and features the same connectivity options as the PT-DZ6700. |
