But the WirelessHD 1.1 spec holds some promise. The original standard of 4Gbps is a thing of the past, and 15Gbps is the present. Theoretically, WirelessHD 1.1 will be able to reach a peak speed of 28Gbps, which isn't bad by any standard.
The expanded bandwidth makes room for, what else, 3-D. According to the WirelessHD Consortium, the 1.1 standard is able to stream all 3-D video formats as outlined in the HDMI 1.4 specification.
