Using the adaptor, you don’t have to pick up a new motherboard or switch out to a new video card just for HDMI outputs. Plug in the VGA to HDMI converter and you can send both your video and audio signals through a single HDMI cord. The device is plug and play, and automatically detects the resolution of your monitor. It’ll handle 1080p and resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. It’s powered by USB, so there’s no need to attach any additional power cables. This is a great way to utilize those old PCs and a nice setup for playing video from a laptop too. The AT-HDVieW runs $119 and will start shipping at the end of February. Like this article?
